A brief description of the institution’s third party certified land holdings:
OSU has earned the Tree Campus USA distinction every year since the University was first awarded the honor in 2010.

To obtain this distinction, Oregon State University has met the five core standards for sustainable campus forestry required by Tree Campus USA, including establishment of a tree advisory committee, evidence of a campus tree-care plan, dedicated annual expenditures for its campus tree program, an Arbor Day observance and the sponsorship of student service-learning projects. Campus currently has about 5,000 trees, with 20 to 50 new trees being planted per year.
