Yes
None
A brief description of the program:
Starting in 2007 a campus-wide initiative to reduce move-in and move-out waste was started. This group brings together Campus Recycling, Surplus Property, and University Housing and Dining Services in a coordinated effort to reduce move-in and move-out waste.
Special bins are placed at every residence hall to collect Styrofoam for recycling, and students learn in their orientation programs where the recycle bins are located on every floor in their hall. Campus Recycling makes a concerted effort to educate residents about the importance and how-to's of recycling during CONNECT (the week between move-in and the start of classes) by hosting tabling activities at various events. The pre-term training for Resident Directors and Assistants includes a section on recycling and waste reduction, and how RDs and RAs can help.
