A brief description of the program:
OSU prefers local products and services. Although cost is a consideration, service and support of the local economy is also a factor driving business decisions at OSU.
Particularly because of the better and more responsive service they provide to the campus community, local vendors, labor and consultants are strongly prioritized. Corvallis and Eugene designers, vendors, contractors and consultants are used extensively. Depending on the definition of local, the Portland Metro Area is less than 100 miles away and offers a wider variety of goods and services.
