A brief description of the guidelines for franchisees:
Recycling guidelines are included in food service franchisee contracts. Language includes:
COMMITMENT TO REDUCTION, REUSE, AND RECYCLING: OSU has a program which encourages customers to "bring their own cup" for hot and cold beverages. Lessee must honor requests for beverage refills in reusable containers and sell them at a discount over similar disposable container sizes.
Lessee will commit to operating methods which result in conservation of energy and natural resources and describe company policies on the use of recycled materials as well as practices which conserve natural resources.
AND
RECYCLING. Lessee will comply with ORS 279.555 to the same extent as if
Lessee were a state agency.
