Option 1: Total clean and renewable electricity generated on site during the performance year and for which the institution retains or has retired the associated environmental attributes :
14.80 MMBtu

Option 2: Non-electric renewable energy generated:
14.30 MMBtu

Option 3: Total clean and renewable electricity generated by off-site projects that the institution catalyzed and for which the institution retains or has retired the associated environmental attributes :
0 MMBtu

Option 4: Total RECs and other similar renewable energy products that the institution purchased during the performance year that are Green-e certified or meet the Green-e standard's technical requirements and are third party verified:
176,050 MMBtu

Option 5: Total electricity generated with co-generation technology using non-renewable fuel sources :
2,920.40 MMBtu

Total energy consumed during the performance year :
907,229 MMBtu

A brief description of on-site renewable electricity generating devices :

There are 3 small PV systems, with total capacity of approximately 5 kW. A kinetic energy system, utilizing 22 pieces of gym equipment, has a total generating capacity of around 2000 watts.

A brief description of on-site renewable non-electric energy devices:

An evacuated tube solar hot water system on the Kelley Engineering Center preheats domestic water, supplying approximately 50% of the building's domestic water heating needs.

A brief description of off-site, institution-catalyzed, renewable electricity generating devices:
---

A brief description of RECs or other similar renewable energy products purchased during the previous year:

Purchase of Green-e certified RECs from the Bonneville Environmental Foundation with funds generated from student fees and donors. The RECs are composed of approximately 40% wind, 40% biogas and 20% biomass. Additionally, at least 20% of the RECs must be generated in Oregon or Washington.

A brief description of co-generation technologies deployed:

At the LEED Platinum Energy Center, electricity is generated in a gas turbine (fueled by natural gas), which then creates high quality waste heat. This waste heat is used to make steam for campus. The Energy Center provides about 50% of the electricity for campus.
