There are two recent assessments - Student Opinion Survey (Spring 2013) and the Faculty and Staff Opinion Survey (Fall 2012).
Both instruments have been (and will be) assessed on a three year cycle. Each instrument has questions that seek to learn more from faculty, staff and students on their attitudes and perceptions about diversity and respect across the College.
The SOS is administered to students college-wide in class during the Spring semester. This survey is given to a sample of students to help the College know where it needs to improve, as well as where it is doing well.

A brief description of how the results of the assessment(s) are used in shaping policy, programs, and initiatives:

The Student Opinion Survey is and has been used by both Academic Affairs and Student Services to shape goals and objectives within their respective Master Plans. Additionally, results provide focus for where additional information should be gathered and data analyzed.
The Faculty and Staff Opinion Survey is and continues to be utilized by each Vice President to shape goals and objectives for their respective departments and units. Responses to this survey provide the institution information that has been utilized to demonstrate compliance with the Standards of accreditation through the Middle States Commission of Higher Education.
