SUNY Orange Earth Day, Our Natural Heritage FORUM

A brief description of the campaign(s):
A campus wide Earth Day celebration is held in April each year. Local environmental organizations, renewable energy suppliers, and vendors attend. Also booths where carbon foot prints are measured and pledges given are included. In addition a month long FORUM, Our Natural Heritage, focuses on the value and necessity of indigenous plants and animals.

A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign(s):
Both the annual Earth Day event and the FORUM, Our Natural Heritage, raise awareness about recycling, general waste reduction, natural landscaping, invasive insect and plants, etc. Increased involvement in sustainability related clubs arises and sustainability initiatives are formulated.
