The sustainability literacy assessment includes questions focusing on culture and personal values, behaviours and awareness of campus sustainability. It was developed and distributed to the entire Ontario Tech community in September 2023 with a follow up schedule for April 2024.

The cultural assessment was sent to all undergraduate students via email and also shared widely on social media and at events.
A brief summary of results from the cultural assessment:
- 38.3% of respondents noted being concerned in regards to climate change
- 36% of respondents noted being very concerned in regards to climate change
- 75% of respondents noted very frequently sorting waste correctly
- 72% of respondents noted very frequently bringing a lunch in a reusable container
