Also, the University of Galway Strategy comprises four core values, one of which is sustainability. The Strategy states: "We will embed sustainability across our learning, research and the student experience, so that our entire campus community can gain the necessary knowledge and skills to become sustainability role models and leaders."

A brief description of how the figure above was determined:

There were 4,750 graduates of degree programmes in 2022 (see PDF attached below), i.e. undergraduate degrees and taught masters degrees. 

An inventory was compiled of degree programmes (listed below) which require a student to have an in-depth understanding of sustainability. These programs were chosen based on University of Galway's sustainability module report. For the degree programs listed below, the number of graduates in 2022 was compiled and summed. The attached Excel file lists the degree programmes and the number of graduates from each.
