A brief description of when and why the building energy consumption baseline was adopted:
---
None
A brief description of any building temperature standards employed by the institution:
Most buildings on campus have night-time setbacks controlled through the campus building automation system (BAS). The BAS monitors building temperatures across campus and controls the equipment to maintain building setpoints. This campus is monitored 24/7 through the BAS front end computer and is well suited to provide varying set points based on time of day. Evening setbacks are scheduled through the BAS scheduling program.
None
A brief description of any light emitting diode (LED) lighting employed by the institution:
ODU does have an LED lighting application on campus. Monarch Theatre has a front lobby LED wall lighting systems which provides a decorative wall wash for the entrance area of the building.
None
A brief description of any occupancy and/or vacancy sensors employed by the institution:
Lighting sensors are used in various locations across campus. Various methods are used with varying technology. Many offices are controlled by either infrared sensor or dual technology sensors. Numerous hallways, labs, restrooms, conference rooms, amongst other spaces are controlled by dual technology sensors.

None
A brief description of any energy metering and management systems employed by the institution:
ODU is using two distinct systems to track energy consumption. The BAS system monitors energy consumption on most campus buildings. This information is used to work with the campus load shed program. Another system is being installed in select buildings which can track long-term energy consumption.
None
