A brief description of the sustainability-focused immersive program(s) offered by the institution:
The 15-day Peru Adventure focused on supporting the local Peruvian economy included a trek in the Andes Mountains led by Peruvian guides and camp hosts, tours of the ancient Incan ruins facilitated by local guides, and a tour of the southern city Puno and Lake Titicaca that included ingenious cultures on the Islands of Uros and Lake Taquile. The experiences allowed the ODU participants to meet and interact with the Peruvian people and offer a sustainable program through the support of the local people and their economy. In addition, the participants raised over $1200 for donations for the local school children and learned about their traditions through a cultural dance performance during the visit.
