A brief description of the minimum total compensation provided to the institution’s lowest paid employee or pay grade:
OSU’s lowest paid employee makes $11.00 an hour which is less than the local living wage for a single individual with no kids ($15.81). In addition to this rate, employees receive a competitive benefits package. In addition to employer-subsidized group health insurance and employer-paid life insurance, employees receive a minimum of 14 days of annual leave, 22 days of sick leave, and 12 paid holidays per year. Employees have the choice between a defined benefit plan (15.55% employer contribution) or a defined contribution retirement plan (11% employer contribution). Neither retirement option requires an employee match.
