OSU Sustainability Stakeholders represent various specialties and areas of campus. Participants include faculty, staff, students and alumni. As OSU moves forward with sustainability initiatives in teaching, research, outreach, and operations, Sustainability Stakeholders provide invaluable advice and collaborations toward these efforts.

A brief description of each sustainability office:
The OSU Sustainability Office, which was created in April 2012 includes one FTE Sustainability Coordinator and several part-time student employees, which together form a second FTE. The office is housed in Facilities Management Services, however it works toward sustainability for the entire Stillwater campus.

The OSU Sustainability Office offers coordination for the entire Stillwater campus and consults with Sustainability Stakeholders and student organizations on a variety of initiatives. Some activities and substantive accomplishments during this reporting period include the development of a campus sustainability plan, working with the City of Stillwater to develop a fruitful partnership moving forward, including the development of their climate action plan, increased partnership with student organizations and several departments that the office had not previously worked with, and work to build a biodiversity garden and expand the existing native corridor on OSU's campus.

- Coordination and management of the OSU Sustainability Program to include the development, implementation, administration, documentation, and communication of comprehensive campus-wide programs that promote sustainability (i.e. resource conservation, recycling, and waste reduction).
- Coordinate and interact with campus departments that have existing environmental initiatives to enhance those efforts and to share ideas regarding successful initiatives across campus.
- Serve as the public relations point of contact ad work with OSU marketing and communications office, as well as other sustainability venues, to increase awareness of OSU's sustainability initiatives through various media.
- Develop measurable data, monitor, and report program performance to administration via appropriate communication methods.
- Work with faculty, staff, and students, to develop programs to promote recycling and waste reduction on campus and to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Track and report sustainable initiatives by developing regular reporting metrics.
- Identify desirable sustainability initiatives and access their cost-effectiveness, technical feasibility, and acceptance by the OSU community.
- Provide project management services, as needed, for Sustainability projects throughout the full project life-cycle from estimates through implementation.
- Identify and pursue grant funding, rebate programs, or other savings programs.
- Encourage and facilitate sustainability programs initiated by student, faculty, and staff community members. Foster and coordinate new ideas and concepts for sustainability programming themes and identify materials and resources to supplement, expand or replace existing sustainability programming.
- Coordinate information sharing and research needs among campus departments and identify and help acquire financial incentives and tools for implementing projects.
- Develop, plan, coordinate and implement activities including, but not limited to, seminars, conferences, workshops, short courses, clubs, shows, public events, and other programs related to sustainability at OSU.
- Provide training and guidance to the University community and serve as a central information source about campus sustainability issues.
- Assist departments with the development of sustainability plans and specific resource conservation strategies as appropriate.
- Promote sustainable building practices in all areas of building design, construction, and remodeling.
- Coordinate and/or participate in public relations activities to include preparing and supervising the production of a website, brochures, newsletters, and other promotional materials and/or publications, preparing press releases, designing ads and fliers, and responding to inquiries; developing plans and schedules for release of publicity materials.
- Develop public outreach campaigns, give public tours, and present at conferences.
- Oversee and develop programs to educate students, faculty, and staff about sustainability efforts and the benefits of sustainable practices.
- Research and maintain a working knowledge of best practices at peer institutions with regards to sustainability.

OSU's Office of Sustainability also has four student interns on staff (through a paid internship program). Together their hours total that of an FTE. The titles of the student workers include: Reporting, Research, & Conservation Intern, Special Projects Intern, Sustainable Campus Life Intern, and Social Media, Marketing & Communications Intern.
