A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:

The OSU Student Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects held its "Finding Center Conference" April 7-8, 2016 at the Stillwater Community Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Finding Center is a free sustainability conference open to students, professionals, educators and the public. The 2016 conference focused on different perspectives of sustainability from a variety of disciplines. Renowned speakers included: landscape architect Carol R. Johnson; David Redhage, president of the Kerr Center for Sustainable Agriculture; architect Brian Court AIA Partner at the Miller Hull Partnership; golf course architect AgustÍn Píza of Píza Golf Design, and environmental psychologist Dr. Nancy Wells of Cornell University.

The Finding Center Conference is unique because while it features internationally known speakers in the design field, it is entirely organized by undergraduate students. These students are members of the American Society of Landscape Architects Student Chapter. The students practice grassroots efforts to provide an interdisciplinary conference. The students describe the event as, "..a haven where ideas can be generated and shared about the different disciplines that influence design."

Conference attendees include students, staff, faculty, alumni, community members, land owners, and professionals from various fields such as Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Engineering, Horticulture, Plant & Soil Sciences, and Art. Over 100 regularly attend this event. The student organizers also arrange for CEU approval and offered CEUs to professionals in attendance.

Measurable impacts include: Each of the eight presenters (including five keynote speakers) focused on some aspect of sustainability in design; approximately 200 participants attended the 2016 event over two days; four sponsors were solicited and confirmed to lend financial support to keep the conference free of registration fees.
