A brief description of how the institution ensures that its lowest-paid workers (including contractors, if applicable) receive sustainable compensation:
The university has made efforts to examine staff salaries. In addition to raise programs when budgets have permitted, the univrsity has had multiple programs that directly targeted staff on the low end of the pay scale. The most recent evaluation was the current year where there was a minimum $1000 increase for employees who received satisfactory evaluations. This provided additional increases to those making less than $33,333. In FY 2008 and 2009, the institution identified the lowest paid positoins, as well as those furthest from market, and made equity adjustments to the salaries of those groups.
