A brief description of the assessment(s):
In 2006 the decision was made to use a modified version of the typical self-study process by conducting a series of information gathering sessions to help us learn more about ourselves in the area of diversity and inclusion. We also emphasized the need to look at diversity and inclusion from different reference points. Knowing that faculty, staff and students would each bring unique perspectives, a concerted effort was made to encourage their involvement throughout the entire process. The Self-Study was conducted in six distinct phases. In each phase information was gathered and disseminated. Providing information during each phase was vital to the success of the process. Communication remained a key factor for the success of this model.
