The Diversity Advisory Board was established during the 1997-1998 academic year. Its purpose is to act as an advisory board in all matters concerning diversity. The general function of the Board is to advise the Director of Affirmative Action, the Vice President for Institutional Diversity, and/or the President in issues regarding diversity/affirmative action/equal opportunity for all persons on campus. The Diversity Advisory Board consists of members representing faculty, staff and students. These representatives are appointed by the President, Faculty Council, Staff Advisory Council and the Vice President for Institutional Diversity. The membership is diverse and includes faculty, classified and non-classified employees and graduate and undergraduate students. The Board established and organized working committees, dependent upon goals and objectives determined by the members of the board.
