Yes

A brief description of the institution’s sustainability partnerships with the local community:

OCU participated in the 2009 Litterblitz, which was a city-wide event sponsored by the Oklahoma City Beautiful organization.

Sodexo is partnered with Food Alliance which is a non-profit organization which "promotes sustainable agriculture by recognizing and rewarding farmers who produce food in environmentally friendly and socially responsible ways." (Taken from the OCU Sodexo website listed below).

Sodexo also composts with the Community Garden and uses Aspretto free trade coffee and tea.

OCU also works in partnership with the Office of Sustainability OKC. This was especially evident in their participation with OCU during 2010 Eco-Week events.

OCU is also partnered with the Blue Thumb Program, which is part of the education arm of the Water Quality Division of the Oklahoma Conservation Commission.

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

There is no easy way to find out in what way OCU is partnered with the local community. I think it would be a good idea for the sustainability board to compile a list of organizations with this kind of information.

Even the person in charge of Blue Goes Green was unaware of partnerships, collaborations, or organizations that OCU is working with.
