A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:
Oklahoma City University offers an annual, one day Cultural Compass Conference event designed to engage students, faculty and staff along with industry personnel for the betterment of our society. Poignant issue are discussed, which are at the root of most of our misunderstandings of cultural differences. This conference is centered on the varied elements of differences, which create barriers to better understanding different views. The overall goal of this conference is to acknowledge the differences that we all have and value the difference that these differences can make if we embrace them.
