Oikos Scholars Program
Does the institution have a wilderness or outdoors program that organizes hiking, backpacking, kayaking, or other outings for students and follows Leave No Trace principles?:
A brief description of the program:
We have trips for hiking, mountain biking, camping, horseback riding, rock climbing, and snow skiing.
We teach Leave No Trace, navigation, bicycle maintenance, outdoor photography, and slacklining.
There is a Leave No Trace workshop.
The instructor of all of these trips has been an LNT Trainer since 2002. He tries to incorporate LNT principles into each of the trips for OCU.
Jonathan Triplett is the current director of Intramural and Recreational Sports (firstname.lastname@example.org)
