Has the institution conducted a survey or other evaluation that allows for anonymous feedback to measure employee satisfaction and engagement during the previous three years?:
Yes
Percentage of employees assessed, directly or by representative sample:
11.80
A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
Facilities Management and Safety emails an annual employee satisfaction survey to its employees for the APPA FPI report. Results are collected, compiled, analyzed and reported to APPA.
A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:
Once feedback is received from employees the feedback is reviewed with the administration team at different levels, including the top management team. This data is also shared with various groups as well as back with employees at an all-staff meeting to facilitate conversation. A year-to-year comparison is compiled for consideration of any changing trends. Historically, the feedback received from this survey led to the re-establishment of the Employee of the Month program and also to exploration of changes/option for the FMS Employee Service Awards. At times, employees have chosen to identify themselves by employee number, on a specific response, to request follow-up which triggers a one-on-one meeting with the head of Facilities Management and Safety to discuss the survey.
