The OHIO Zero Waste Team administers and promotes a online Green Event certification program, with free consultation services. The "Ohio Green Event Guide" outlines the components needed to become a Green Event: waste reduction & management, food & drink, energy & water conservation (including fuel energy conservation and sustainable transportation). More information can be found in the Green Event Guide at www.ohio.edu/zerowaste. Recently, the team worked with the Student Senate Appropriations Committee on a resolution to incorporate sustainability practices into SAC-funded student activities.
