A brief description of the institution’s LGBTQ-inclusive policies, programs and practices:
Ohio University's LGBT Center offers SafeZone training, a Speakers Bureau, intersectional programming, annual Queer Studies Conference, advocacy efforts on and off campus, academic support, and resource referrals. Ohio University offers gender neutral housing and LGBT living experience, gender neutral bathrooms throughout campus, an LGBTQ Studies Certificate program, a Learning Community on LGBTQ Identities and Justice, trans healthcare benefits for students and employees, a trans support group that is open to both campus and community, LGBT-affirming mental health and health care providers in counseling and healthcare center, and domestic partner benefits. In addition the university's non-discirmination policy includes protections for sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. .
