A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation (including how multiple dimensions of sustainability are addressed):
New Faculty and Staff Orientation occurs bi-weekly and the Office of Sustainability has a 20 minute presentation slot. When presenting, the Office of Sustainability representative discusses recycling, gives an overview of the sustainability plan, and outlines what responsibilities employees have to uphold that plan. New faculty and staff are also encouraged to participate in the Sustainability Tracking and Evaluation Program (STEP) and join Sustainable Ohio University Leaders (SOUL), which is a group of students, faculty, and staff that work together to make progress on the benchmarks outlined in the Sustainability Plan. New employees are also directed to the New Employee webpage on the Office of Sustainability website.
