In 2016, after consultation with the Research Division, it was decided that total researchers and sustainability researchers would be defined as the Project Directors who have received external funding within the last year. This gives a underestimate of both total and sustainability researchers (does not include co-investigators), but ensures that numbers are accurate within the given assumptions. A grants tracking database (LEO) was used to determine numbers of researchers. In the attached research inventory, all known sustainability researchers are included, but only externally funded ones are included in the numbers entered for this credit.
