Initially, a survey was sent to all faculty participating in the Common Experience Project on Sustainability (CEP-S). That survey provided an baseline for sustainability courses offered at Ohio University. Each year, an Office of Sustainability student employee searches through the Ohio University course offerings database using identified courses to check for course availability and using key words to identify more courses to add to the list.

There were no courses with multiple sections, but some courses were offered on both the undergraduate and graduate level and were counted as two separate courses.
