Yes

A brief description of the campus climate assessment(s) :

There have been surveys that measure attitudes about diversity and equity. Oberlin is part of the CHAS consortium. This group worked with its schools to do a climate survey in 2009. Oberlin is conducting a survey of religious life issues and concerns in the spring of 2012. Oberlin also conducts a number of surveys, such as senior and enrolled student surveys, that include multiple questions about attitudes about diversity and equity on campus.

A brief description of the student diversity and educational equity assessment(s):

Oberlin regularly reports enrollment and graduation rate statistics and trends broken down by race/ethnicity for both the Arts and Sciences and the Conservatory of Music. These data are used by various offices to monitor progress and to benchmark future success. This has been a particular focus given student interest and demand for a diverse student body and educational equity. Oberlin College employs various staff focused squarely on these topics: Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and a Title IX Coordinator.

Oberlin regularly collects and reviews faculty (and some staff) race/ethnicity statistics and trends. These data are used by various offices to monitor progress and to benchmark future success.
