A brief description of the institution’s community garden:
We have community gardens at each of our campuses. The Skokie location is open to employees, students, or community members. Individuals express interest and are assigned one of 11 beds. They are responsible for planting, tending to, and harvesting all of their produce. At the Des Plaines Campus, we have 15 raised beds which are communally cared for by volunteers made up of students, employees, and community members. Produce is donated to local food pantries.
