A brief description of the single-use disposable plastics that have been banned or eliminated:
Through student-led efforts in the Undergraduate Student Government Association (USGA), as well as the Chartwells dining program, Nova Southeastern University has banned the use of single-use straws and plastic bags. Students are further encouraged to bring their own alternatives to these materials with a 10% discount every time they bring a reusable bag or cup.
