NSU employs Broward Energy Management to provide LCCA for all significant projects and activities under the Facilities Management Department.

Our dining cleaning products are Green Seal Certified. Through Veritiv, we follow Green Gauge standards. This is certified by LEED as sustainable materials. Our total score is 58% sustainable.

Construction and Renovation

Yes

A brief description of the published sustainability criteria for construction and renovation products:
NSU requires that all construction and renovation products use LEED certified silver criteria. This criteria is stated in each section of our design manual: "Nova Southeastern University utilizes a Design Criteria Manual that requires all sustainable design must meet LEED “Silver” standards as a minimum."

http://www.nova.edu/fixed-assets/surplus.html This website explains what Nova does with surplus items like computers. ** If the item(s) are in good working condition, they will be placed in storage and redistributed. If the item(s) are in need of repair or are incomplete, every effort will be made to repair and redistribute. If the item(s) are beyond repair, useful parts will be removed and the remaining items marked for disposal.

Chartwells dining services only uses napkins that are made from 100% recycled material. This is a criteria we use when choosing our food services.
