Sustainability 101 Lecture Series

A brief description of the program, including examples of peer-to-peer outreach activities:
This lecture series is conducted every few weeks throughout the winter semester. Faculty members give presentations explaining their contributions to our sustainability efforts on campus. This event is open to all students and faculty, but predominated by faculty members. 35 employees on average attend the program regularly, but the entire staff is notified about the events. Examples of peer to peer outreach activities include: power points, worksheets, open discussions, and question/answer sessions. the educator leads his/her peers in these activities.

Employee educators independently gain knowledge on the subject they are presenting on. it is expected that the presenter is educated and has expertise in the topic. No other formal training is provided.

All support efforts are provided through the Facilities Management Department. Lunch is provided for this program.
