Green Sharks is a student run organization who's mission is to educate students, faculty, and staff on what sustainability means and to advocate for sustainable initiatives on campus. Examples include SeaThursday events, Earth Day, Sustainability 101 Lecture series, and more.

Any student can join Green Sharks. Leaders of the organization are voted upon by students.

A brief description of the formal training that the student educators receive to prepare them to conduct peer outreach:
All on campus organizations work with the Office of Campus Life to enhance abilities for peer outreach. Faculty and Staff advisors also help train the student educators.

Budgets can be requested through the Undergraduate Student Government Association who receives funding from Student Activities Fees.
