A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about employee commuting:

This data was collected through a survey that was delivered electronically to all staff members at NSCC in May 2016. Approximately 30% of NSCC staff (515 of 1695) responded to the survey, and the data was analyzed to determine the employee commute modal split.
