A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:
NSCC is currently in the process of installing car chargers on campuses across the province, providing the infrastructure for more sustainable campus fleet vehicles. NSCC is aware of the benefits of sustainable vehicle practices and strives to improve its transportation environmental impact.
In addition to the vehicles counted towards this credit NSCC also has other sustainable vehicles in operation that are not applicable to the credit. For example, Lunenburg Campus operates a Diesel SMART car, which has significantly less emissions then a typical vehicle.
