Facilities Management regularly provides presentations, public tours, and writes articles to share NSCC's experience with different sustainability initiatives. Atlantic Canada Universities and Colleges Sustainability Network (AUCSN) The Atlantic Canada Universities and Colleges Sustainability Network was created in 2008 to facilitate information sharing and cooperative initiatives among post-secondary institutions in the region. Membership is open to the universities and community colleges located in Atlantic Canada. Institutions are represented primarily by staff responsible for sustainability initiatives on campus. Interuniversity Services Inc. serves as the administrative partner for the organization. NSCC has been an active member of AUSCN since 2009. http://aucsn.wordpress.com/ Canadian College Sustainable Building Consortium The Canadian College Sustainable Building Consortium was established in 2010, with NSCC hosting representatives from Durham College, Lethbridge College, and Okanagan College. During the initial meeting each institution gave a presentation of sustainability initiatives at their respective campus. NSCC’s presentation focused on green building design and sustainable building management (BOMA BESt). The objective of the get-together was to meet counterparts from Colleges across the country, and to share ideas in support of creating sustainable College environment.

A brief summary of additional ways the institution collaborates with other campuses to advance sustainability :
Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) NSCC is a member of AASHE. NSCC representatives have attended/presented at the annual conference every year since 2012. The objective of the conference is to attend educational sessions relating to sustainability in post-secondary institutions, and to share ideas with other colleges and universities to help build campus sustainability. In May 2015, NSCC co-hosted the Canadian College and University Environmental Network annual conference attracting educators, learners and industry from across Canada. The CCUEN's mission is to facilitate communication, information sharing and collaborative action among post-secondary environmental educators. The conference brings together educational institutions from across the country to promote and discuss sustainability. For example the 2016 theme was: The Environment and Sustainability Across the Campus and Curriculum.
