Aramark is the vendor that can be found at most NSCC Campus cafeterias. Sustainability policies and guidelines adopted by NSCC that Aramark must follow include:
• Recycling and composting of waste. Kitchen waste must be separated and properly disposed. Many campuses have a company that will collect used kitchen oils, grease, and fats free of charge and recycle these products into biodiesels.
• Purchasing fish locally. To support the economy and sustainability of Nova Scotians, all fish is purchased locally.
