A brief description of the methodology used to track and calculate the number of recordable incidents of work-related injury or ill health :
The methodology that is used to calculate and track the number of recordable incidents of work- related injuries or illnesses for both campus’s is obtained on the claims platform ORIGAMI which is used to manage and adjudicate the University’s workers compensation incidents. The Origami claims platform tracks key claim components for each incident using the OSHA 300 and 300A form. The ORIGAMI platform allows the user to designate the incident as being either a recordable incident or a non- recordable incident based on the recordkeeping guidelines of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses as determined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
