A brief description of the institution’s sustainability projects fund:
The ASG Student Group Sustainability Fund application provides an opportunity for student organizations to receive additional funding for increasing sustainability in how they are run or of events/projects. Examples of how this grant could be used:
•A large student group wants to purchase compostable utensils instead of plastic, but these cost more than originally budgeted.
• A student group wants to purchase a prop that can be repurposed for multiple shows over a bunch of temporary, cheaper ones.
•An engineering group is looking for some funding on a small-scale solar project.
•A student group has an event in Chicago and will incentive using public transport over taking separate Lyfts.
•An organization wants to host a politician to speak about sustainability/climate change.

A brief description of the multi-stakeholder decision-making process used to determine which projects receive funding through the sustainability projects fund:
Funding is delegated through a democratic, subcommittee review process. Guidelines have been established comparable to those for the ASG Wild Ideas fund which dictate what is and is not included under the blanket of sustainability funding. For approval, a minimum of 6 subcommittee members must be present, and votes must pass unanimously. Funding can be full or partial, and decisions are made after debate from all involved. Committee members are originally selected from the ASG community, representing different schools/backgrounds and pledge to not have any affiliation with the applicants.
