In May 2015, the Institute for Sustainability and Energy at Northwestern put out its first request for proposals for sustainability courses. Faculty were invited to submit ideas for new courses along with course outlines. ISEN reviewed submissions and launched some of these courses in the 2015-2016 school year, and hopes to make this proposal process an annual opportunity for faculty.

Faculty who submit proposals will receive $2,500 for creating the course outline, and will be awarded $10,000 for every quarter they teach their proposed course.
