A survey tool was developed using a nationally respected employee satisfaction survey template with a few questions added and/or tailored to our specific environment by an ad hoc committee made up of 2 staff and 2 faculty representatives. All regular employees were invited to participate in the survey and results were returned anonymously to human resources.
A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:
The results of the employee satisfaction survey were provided to all employees for review and will be used as a baseline for future surveys. The information has also been used to improve communication regarding benefits, to provide an enhanced opportunity for professional development to all staff and is on point with a separate initiative to evaluate the organization's governance structure.
