Staff Professional Development opportunities are made available and budgeted for through the Office of Human Resources. Faculty Professional Development is managed by committee through policies outlined within the Faculty Handbook. Staff and Faculty across all divisions of the College have opportunities to participate is sustainability related training and professional development at a minimum through the enrollment in any class at Northland College, including coursework in sustainability. Staff are also offered sustainability tours of the campus.

Faculty members may choose professional development opportunities from a broad range of external organizations focusing on sustainability topics of choice. Staff have been provided with opportunities through AASHE as well as Academic Impressions.
