A brief description of the institution's initiatives to replace plumbing fixtures, fittings, appliances, equipment, and systems with water-efficient alternatives (e.g. building retrofits):

The College has installed dual-flush toilets, low-flow faucets, and other water-saving strategies in its buildings. However, the College also constructed the Hulings Rice Food Center. While this Center advances the College toward its goal of obtaining 80% local food, it offsets much of the water savings achieved elsewhere through water-intensive food processing.
