The dining service, Simply Superior, put on a workshop on local foods and plant-based cooking for dining, housing, and other staff. SHINE offers sustainability skill builders and campus walking tours and customized trainings for specific units as requested.

NMU has paid for faculty, staff, and students to attend AASHE conferences and seminars as well as regional conferences and retreats (e.g., UMACS).

NMU's official sustainability coordinator, Brandon Sager, is partially evaluated for his work on sustainability. Mr. Sager also serves as Assistant Director of Facilities.
