A brief description of when and why the GHG emissions baseline was adopted:
The university first engaged in performance contracting with an energy savings company in the calendar year 2010. The initial project focused on two large facilities; the Jacobetti Complex and University Center. Then in 2012, the performance contract was extended to twelve additional facilities on campus. The baseline year for both of these performance contracts was 2010.

Impacts due to COVID prevented us from conducting a more recent (and accurate) assessment, thus we are using an older inventory and we have designated our performance year as 2018-2019.
