A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :

All Resident on-site Freshmen are provided with sustainable living practice orientation from their Community Assistants. On move-in week and beyond, CAs will:

○ Hold sustainability-themed events in the dorms
○ Provide information on energy-saving power strips, shower timers, and other sustainable resources.
○ Partner with the Office of Sustainability for Earth Day events, Move-in/move-out waste reduction and furniture recycling, and the Use L.E.S.S (Lumberjacks Energy Saving Sprint) dormitory conservation competition that will begin in the spring of 2024.
