NAU Sustainability Action Plan, Transportation section states:
Objective 3: Decrease NAU vehicle emissions each year.
Action 2: Continue to purchase the most economical, most fuel efficient, and lowest emission vehicles available in a particular model year that meet the operational needs and policy requirements of the University. Pursue alternative low-emission/no-emission vehicles for unique needs transportation such as mail delivery, landscaping, composting, etc.
