Name or title of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
21 Free Electric Car Charging Stations

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:

At the Flagstaff Campus there are three locations where you can charge an electric vehicle. Charging is free at all three locations.

Flagstaff is a small town (70,000) and we know that we have many more chargers than we do users, but we want to help move the industry and get rid of the "chicken or egg" issue by providing plenty of options to our faculty, staff, and students.

The innovation or "uncommon practice" here is that we're tracking 3 to 5 users of our charging stations but we went 5-4xs above and beyond the user-ship to promote the technology and ensure user satisfaction with the program.

17 stations were installed May 1, 2014 and the additional 4 were installed in 2015/16.
