A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
This innovation point will describe the implementation of the Green Office Certification Program at Northern Arizona University. This year the Office of Sustainability has created a Green Office Certification Program that allows users to self-report data and self-asses sustainability aspects of their office space. Inspired by other Green Office programs and the STARS report, we attempted to combine the two ideas. The program now exists and can operate with extremely minimal staff support and funding. It is an opportunity to allow interested parties to get involved and equip themselves with a resource of knowledge and process. We will continue to expand the program and hope to incorporate its message into everyday office behavior.
