A brief description of the program:
NAIT's support staff employees have provisions within their collective agreement allowing both modified and compressed hours of work programs to be implemented. Certain provisions exist outlining maintenance of current benefit entitlements and customer service levels as requirements for creating a compressed or modified hours of work program. By the nature of their work, both faculty and management groups are allowed flexibility in structuring their workdays. A number of work groups that have elected not to enter full time compressed or modified hours of work programs do implement same for shorter period of time - normally the summer months.
