A brief description of the postconsumer food waste composting program:
NAIT Food Services has implemented changes to prepare for a post consumer compost program.
We believed that preparing our operations was a first step to successful and timely implementation when other NAIT departments were ready.
Changes made to date include changing to biodegrable and recyclable disposables for about 90% of our disposble products.
Linking into the larger city-wide waste management process may prove to be the most sustainable.
